A large regional referral hospital is seeking an experienced Chief Nursing Officer to lead a complex inpatient enterprise serving patients from communities across the southern part of the state.

The organization combines major-hospital volume with the accessibility and accountability of a community-based system. Its nursing foundation is strong, executive leadership is investing in the future and the incoming CNO will have room to shape the next chapter.

What the Boardroom Needs

• A proven CNO with the confidence to operate as the accountable nursing executive.
• A strategic thinker who can convert vision into specific tactics and measurable outcomes.
• A mentor capable of developing strong, long-tenured nursing leaders.
• A disciplined change leader who will build on recent success rather than reorganize for appearance’s sake.
• RN and Master’s degree required (if Master’s not in Nursing, must hold BSN as well); Doctorate preferred

First-Year Priorities

Retention and leader engagement will define early success. The new CNO will also advance staffing optimization, shared governance, patient experience, technology adoption and the hospital’s long-range journey toward Pathway to Excellence.

Location and Relocation
