Nursing Leadership
Director, Case Management (RN)
SC Full-Time $130,000 - $170,000

Lead a Mature, High-Performing Department

Nealy Pierce is recruiting an experienced Case Management Director (RN) for a well-loved, non-profit 700+ bed health system serving the coastal Southeast.

Unlike opportunities that require rebuilding an unstable department, this Director will inherit a strong foundation developed by a highly respected leader who is retiring in early 2027. You will be well-supported by approximately 65 professionals including three (3) established managers across two hospital campuses.

Your Leadership Scope

  • System-wide Case Management and Utilization Review
  • Length-of-stay performance and discharge planning strategy
  • Complex placements and bed-availability escalations
  • Relationships with skilled nursing, rehabilitation and home health partners
  • Palliative Care coordination and Social Work services
  • Care Coordination data, metrics and executive reporting

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Mature department with experienced operational leadership in place
  • Direct partnership with the Vice President of Medical Affairs
  • Visibility with physicians and senior executives
  • Opportunity to influence patient flow across an entire health system
  • Up to $170,000 annually (DOE), with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
  • Full relocation assistance
  • Generous front-loaded PTO and executive benefits

Desired Background

  • Active RN license
  • Leadership experience in Case Management or Care Coordination within a large acute care environment
  • Five to seven years of acute care experience, including three or more years in leadership
  • Experience managing teams across multiple facilities
  • Master’s degree required (BSN required with a non-nursing master’s degree)
  • CCM certification preferred

Stay Close to the Lowcountry

This opportunity allows South Carolina leaders to remain close to the Lowcountry while gaining greater system responsibility. The region offers historic charm, celebrated restaurants, cultural attractions, coastal recreation and a warm Southern climate.
