Director of Hospital Medicine — Gulf South Region

A well-established 500+ bed trauma Center in the Gulf South region is seeking an experienced Director of Hospital Medicine to lead a growing inpatient provider group of 35+ physicians and advanced practice providers.

This is a high-visibility leadership role reporting into hospital administration, with direct ownership of program performance, provider scheduling, and P&L accountability for the hospitalist service line.

What you’ll own:

• Day-to-day operations of a 35+ provider hospitalist program
• Scheduling and coverage planning for 24/7/365 inpatient care
• Budget and P&L performance for the practice
• Credentialing, licensing, and payer enrollment compliance across the group
• Serving as the primary liaison between the provider group and hospital C-suite

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s (MHA/MBA) strongly preferred
• 3-5+ years managing hospital medicine or inpatient physician practice operations
• Working knowledge of EHR systems, HRIS, and medical billing/compliance
• Experience managing provider recruitment, onboarding, and performance

Compensation: Up to $140,000 annually, plus $15,000 relocation assistance for qualified candidates relocating to the area.

This region offers an easy commute or relocation from Jackson, New Orleans, Mobile, or Biloxi, with a lower cost of living than any of those metros.
